How a pheromone perfume could make you irresistible to the opposite sex - and the best ones to 選ぶ from under £40
Many of us have a go-to 署名 fragrance which we love and wear on repeat.
But there’s nothing more 失望させるing than smelling your chosen perfume on every other woman you pass in the street.
Enter the pheromone fragrance. These cutting-辛勝する／優位 perfumes are said to interact with the often undetectable natural scent we each give off to create a smell that is unique to the wearer.
This isn’t the only outlandish 約束, though. Some pheromone fragrances （人命などを）奪う，主張する to have an aphrodisiac 影響, making the wearer smell more attractive. So it’s little wonder the scents have gone viral, the hashtag #pheromoneperfume has racked up 107 million 見解（をとる）s on TikTok.
So what are pheromones? ‘Pheromones are odourless 化学製品 signals secreted by animals, for instance through sweat （分泌する為の）腺s, which are 選ぶd up by other members of the same 種類,’ says Beckielou Brown, perfume creator of pheromone fragrance Altra 肌.

‘While there’s some 科学の 審議 as to whether humans have the ability to 選ぶ up on pheromones in the same way as animals, there’s no 疑問 scent plays a part in our attraction to other people.’

But many pheromone fragrances 含む／封じ込める a 化学製品 ― 研究室／実験室-created fragrance 分子 Iso E 最高の ― that’s believed to 刺激する our sense of smell and is 恐らく 類似の to the pheromone musk given off 自然に by animals.
‘簡単に put, while Iso E 最高の is not a pheromone itself, it amplifies the natural pheromone-like scent of your 肌 and blends with your own aroma, meaning a few minutes after spritzing, it will begin to smell unique on you,’ explains Connor ツバメ, co-創立者 of new pheromone fragrance brand Liquid London.
But there’s a hitch ― many of us can’t smell these pheromone fragrances at all.
‘In their unadulterated form, they are anosmic, meaning they don’t have a smell, so people can’t （悪事，秘密などを）発見する them,’ 追加するs Connor.
As a result, some perfumers are now blending pheromone scents with 伝統的な perfumery 公式文書，認めるs like florals, gourmands or 支持を得ようと努めるd, so the wearer can enjoy them.

THE CLASSIC ONE?
分子 01 by Escentric 分子s is meant to develop 'a cedarwood 公式文書，認める with a velvety sensation' on 接触する with the 肌

分子 01 by Escentric 分子s was one of the first fragrances to use the pheromone-mimicking Iso E 最高の 分子 as a 支配的な 公式文書，認める. On 接触する with the 肌, it’s meant to develop ‘a cedarwood 公式文書，認める with a velvety sensation, which magnifies the wearer’s natural aroma’.
I couldn’t smell much when I sprayed this into the 空気／公表する, but on my 肌 it was incredibly wearable ― woody and わずかに 化学製品, but elegant and not overpowering. The scent ぐずぐず残るd all day, too.
The downside? It smelt やめる masculine on me. But I loved it on my husband; the woody 公式文書，認める seemed fresher on him. It smelt gorgeous on another 女性（の） friend, and even nicer on my dad!
A （人が）群がる-pleaser, even if I did prefer it on other people.

THE LUXE ONE?
Altra 肌 is designed to 高める the smell of the wearer’s ‘freshly にわか雨d’ 肌

Touted as a genderless, 極小の scent, Altra 肌 is designed to 高める the smell of the wearer’s ‘freshly にわか雨d’ 肌.
It uses 工場／植物-based 成分s, rather than the Iso E 最高の 分子, to draw out the natural scent of the wearer. Perhaps as a result, this was the least 化学製品-smelling of the three scents I tried.
After liberally spritzing my pulse points, I struggled to （悪事，秘密などを）発見する much of a scent at all. Although I 選ぶd more up when I used it as a 団体／死体 spray.
It smelt わずかに musky, yet soft and fresh. I was reminded of clean, soft cotton. The first time I wore it, my husband said, without 誘発するing: ‘You smell really nice.’
Yet I couldn’t 位置／汚点／見つけ出す any real difference when he and my mum tried it. A slight 事例／患者 of the Emperor’s New 着せる／賦与するs at a whopping £168 a 瓶／封じ込める.

THE BUDGET ONE?

For Everyone is a genderless fragrance laced with Iso E 最高の, and 公式文書，認めるs of juniper, bergamot, pepper, incense, vanilla and amber.
To me, this smelt 圧倒的に 化学製品 and わずかに like 石油 on my 肌 at first.
But after a few hours, those synthetic overtones dissipated, 取って代わるd by a warmth and creaminess I rather liked.
I wasn’t keen on how it smelt on my husband though ― it was too 甘い on him. Still, it feels like a good, affordable place to start 実験ing with pheromone scents.
