詐欺 and scam (民事の)告訴s 攻撃する,衝突する their highest ever level for a three month period, new data from the 財政上の Ombudsman Service shows.

Between 1 April and 30 June this year, 消費者s 宿泊するd 8,734 (民事の)告訴s about 詐欺 and scams.?

Many banks have now 調印するd up to the voluntary 次第で変わる/派遣部隊 Reimbursement Model (CRM) code which 供給するs 付加 保護 for 消費者s, and means they are reimbursed unless there are exceptional circumstances.?

If a bank has not 調印するd up to the CRM code, 顧客s could be いっそう少なく likely to be reimbursed if they have fallen 犠牲者 to a scam and lost money.

Of 4,752 APP scam 事例/患者s received by the Ombudsman in the first three months of this 財政上の year, 2,734 were not covered by the code - with 49 per cent of 事例/患者s that 落ちる under the code upheld, compared to 36 per cent that do not 落ちる under the code.

How to 避ける 落ちるing 犠牲者 to 詐欺?

A bank or other 公式の/役人 団体/死体, such as the police, will never call 消費者s and ask them to move their money to a ‘安全な account’. Hang up the phone and 接触する your bank if this happens.?

It’s rare that people will be asked to part with money as part of an 雇用 適切な時期. If people are asked to do this, it’s likely to be a scam.

消費者s should do their 研究 if they 計画(する) on 投資するing, 特に in 投資s 設立する on social マスコミ. They should 確実にする that the provider is 規制するd by the 財政上の 行為/行う 当局 and do their own 予定 diligence. さもなければ they may lose all their money if it turns out to be a scam.
